Ingredients

Cinnamon Syrup
  • 5 medium cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
Macerated Bosc Pears
  • 2 Bosc pears (it MUST be Bosc)
  • water
Under the Mistletoe
  • 1 Tbsp macerated Bosc Pear 
  • 2 Tbsp cinnamon syrup
  • 2 oz faux Gin
  • 3 oz apple cider
  • Brown sugar cinnamon mix (for rim)

Step by Step Instructions

Cinnamon Syrup
Step 1
In a small pot add 3 cups of water and add in 5 medium cinnamon sticks
Step 2
Over medium heat let cinnamon simmer for approx 5 minutes
Step 3
In a jar, add 1 cup of brown sugar
Step 4
Strain 1.5 cups of the cinnamon water into a measuring cup and add 1.5 cups of cinnamon water to the jar
Step 5
Stir until sugar is melted and liquid is clear
Maserated BOSC Pears
Step 1
  1. Wash and thinly slice fruit and add to a medium pot
Step 2
Cover fruit with water and stew on medium low heat until water boils
Step 3
Reduce heat and mash fruit in the pot 
Step 4
Simmer until fruit takes on a jam consistency
Step 5
Do not add more water
Who’s The Bosc?
Step 1
Rim the glass with brown sugar cinnamon rim
Step 2
Build all wet ingredients over ice and stir
Note
Cinnamon syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 month
