- 4 cups brown or green lentils (the package says green but the lentils are tan in colour), cooked to slightly softer than al dente (do not allow lentils to get mushy soft).
- ½ tsp each of the following spices.. cinnamon, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, ginger, dried mustard, rubbed thyme (all to taste)
- pinch of nutmeg and ground clove
- 2 tbsp tamari sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 cups frozen mixed vegetables defrosted
