Ginger Syrup
Step 1
In a small pot add 2 cups of water
Step 2
Add in 2 medium pieces of ginger peeled and finely chopped
Step 3
Over medium heat let ginger simmer for approx 7-10 minutes
Step 4
In a jar, add 1 cup of white sugar
Step 5
Strain 1.5 cups of the ginger water into a measuring cup
Step 6
Add 1.5 cups of ginger water to the jar
Step 7
Stir until sugar is melted and liquid is clear
Note
Store in the fridge for up to 1 month
Toasty Toes
Step 1
Pour everything from the ingredients list into your cooking pot (except the candied ginger) and heat to almost boiling on the stove.
Step 2
When cool enough to handle, pour into a wine glass.
Step 3
Garnish with candied ginger
Note
Could also be served cold - to serve cold pour over ice and serve
